love drop.

I found the most inspiring email in the inbox after lunch today. It was about Love Drop.

http://www.lovedrop.us/

"Love Drop is a micro-giving network of people who unite as a community

to help one person or family a month. By subscribing to the team for as
low as $1, we make it easy for our members to change lives in a fun and
tangible way. Each month Love Drop delivers a unique combination of
unexpected financial gifts, personal encouragement and the support of

local and online communities."

How You Can Help

This project is all about coming up with creative and fun
ways to make a difference for someone. Here’s what you
can do to make the Love Drop something special for Jill
and her family this month:
•  Join the team – Pay what you can, name your own price. Even $1 – it all helps!
•  Join our blogger network – We give you free content to share once a month to spread the word and get more support for Jill’s family
•  Give a gift – Home goods, clothes, gift cards (Target, Bed Bath & Beyond), sports and painting stuff for the kids, anything you think would make them smile :)
•  Provide a service – Accounting, tax help, legal services, web design (for their pay-it-forward idea…)
Money is always needed, but the cool factor comes when people start giving creatively. So tell us how you want to give, and we’ll make it happen!

This month love drop is helping out Jill.

January 2011 – Jill

For our very first Love Drop we’re working with Jill and her kids in Chicago, who’ve lost everything in a fire and are now homeless for a second time. They’ve been through a lot, but you’ll be amazed at how much they continue to give back.

Florsheim Shoes {closed}

Thank you to all that entered and congrats to EMMA for winning!  xo You know when you first meet a handsome boy, in my case it was a bar, and everything about him is near perfect. His chiseled features, dark shiny hair, and stunning light blue eyes. Then you look down, and gasp, he's wearing sneakers. Not your run of the mill, fashion forward footwear, but we are talking Nike, Adidas, etc. running shoes. He's wearing them in a bar, with jeans, and a polo. If you're anything like me, the only times tennis shoes are acceptable are on the elliptical machine or running a half marathon. This boy turned out to be the love of my life, and with little resistance I was able to turn him into my fashionable sidekick. With a little help from  Florsheim  you can take your Valentine from sorry to sexy with a pair of shoes courtesy of this luxury brand. I've put together some inspirational looks for you. Just remember, you may not able to c...

Zo chic.

caged in.

If you follow me on Instagram  you've seen these flats pop up numerous times. I own them in nude and red, and to be 100% transparent just purchased a replacement nude pair. While they aren't the gorgeous $900 Valentino Rockstud Cage Flats , I could care less, I bought them because I LOVE the style. I wish I could make myself spend $900 on shoes; however, at this point traveling, decorating my new home and investing in my future are more important. I can't have it all! Those of you with Rockstuds : Yes, I'm jealous. If you'd like the link to these shoes, they are so comfy, follow me on Instagram and send me a direct message -  @McKerihan . Please note: I know there are many that have very strong opinions about knockoffs. These shoes do not bare the Valentino tag, nor do they replicate the exact design. They are simply 'inspired by'. If you're wearing anything from Forever 21, Old Navy, Gap, even lower priced brands from Nordstrom chances are your...
