fall forecast: molly's most wanted

We have an incredibly mild summer here in Minnesota. It snowed over two feet on May 2nd for goodness sake; however, the temperatures are starting to rise and per usual it's right as I'm craving to slip into a new fall wardrobe. While I'm loving my maxi dresses and sandals, I can't wait until it dips below 75 to throw on a jean jacket and statement necklace. My Frye boots are begging my feet to step into them and my blazer and sassy jacket collection has been feeling desperately neglected. After spending my 'happy hour' pinning away, I found some items that I can't live without. Some of them will just have to wait considering a $1,700 leather jacket isn't in the budget for this fall. What are you looking forward to sporting this fall?

crop out.

I'm split on this trend. I think it can go terribly wrong {like the man walking down my street in a pink sports bra} or look amazing {see Ashley and Alessandra above}. I'll be honest that Katy and Miley leave me with very little desire to ever try this trend. Crops and a Chanel just don't go hand-in-hand and if you're wearing leggings {even if you are rail thing} a little frontal/tush coverage is just the polite thing to do. I think Ashley Tisdale knocks it out of the park with a subtle, sweet, and sexy bit of her midriff showing. Is this a look you will be rocking in the last few weeks of summer?

wedding wonders: beauty edition

It's getting closer and more real by the day. I believe we are going on 271 days. To the average person 271 is nearly a year, to a bride it's time to get  **** done. My wedding dress finally came in and I love it even more than I did when I first picked it out. I've been working my tush off: yoga, Pilates, and barre classes since the end of June {drum roll} I lost over 3.5 inches in my waist. I loved the way I looked in my dress and I think it will just get better and better as I workout and live the healthy lifestyle I've committed myself to {not giving up the wine}. Some of the most important pieces of our wedding have fallen into place: we have an amazing DJ - I want my friends to remember this epic dance party for the rest of their lives, I hired The Eventful Life for decor and coordination, I went to highs school with Jess and I know their vision will be beautiful. I'm so excited for our fantastic photographer, and I can't wait to work with The Beauty D

Trending Patterns of 2013: Home Edition

Adam and I have been on the hunt for the perfect house for a while now. Where we live in Minnesota ranches and split levels are bountiful in their availability, I like idea of having the bedrooms up stairs and the living space downstairs, so our hunt is going to be a giant test of patience. I use the Zillow iPhone app almost daily to see if anything exciting has been put on the market, so I'm thrilled to share with you some interior design tips from the home experts themselves. Enjoy!  Geometric patterns have made a huge comeback in the interior design industry in the last few years. Although preppy patterns like paisley and argyle have always been prevalent amongst Hamptons-style designers, 70s mod shapes are finding their way back into chic homes and apartments . Here are some of the most popular trending patterns of 2013. Chevron Italian fashion designer Missoni is often credited for popularizing the signature zigzag pattern known as chevron, which is fo

Fixation Friday: Bronde Hair

I want bronde hair and I can not lie. I'm currently coveting this look and still trying to find a hair stylist that can get it right. After spending hundreds of dollars on my  color at the salon a few months ago, and leaving disappointed, I'm worried about not loving the results again. I've done ombré to my hair at home several times with great results, but there is something about this buttery brown and golden hair that is having me swooning. If you live in Rochester, MN who do you trust to dye your hair?
