sipping on summer.

There is nothing like having one of your roomies {your fiances' best friend} make you a drink that is so divine you feel the need to share it with everyone! The soda water is totally optional, but let me tell you this will be my summer drink {in between glasses of sangria}.

enjoy!

Hosting a party? If you're like me, you want to impress. "Oh these  tortoise shell salad servers , don't be silly, I've had them for years!" No words. Top Shop . How you gonna play me like this - perfection! At $130 I think these have lasting power! Such lovely warm weather colors, snatch this clutch at Ann Taylor for $118. Maybe just the cutest swimsuit ever? The top is $88 and also comes in solid pink - SOLD! Nude wedges are a must for spring and summer. These are a little special with the hint of chrome at the toe. Steve Madden never lets me down when it comes to trendy shoes! And they are under $100! I have several weddings to go to this summer. A classic present that will last a life time (or until the wifey get's sunless tanner on it).

{for the boys} easy.

While dressing myself is where I have the most fun, I love it when Adam asks me for advice on his wardrobe. Sometimes I give him a big fat "OH NO NO NO", but recently he has really impressed me with his fashion choices. On the left is an exact representation of this style outside of The Mayo Clinic {where he is suit and tie man, or in scrubs}. He recently joined Trunk Club  and I was so thrilled with the choices {his gorgeous} stylist picked for him! It was a great investment for him, especially for shirts that can be worn in regular rotation. The outfit on the right is also pretty close to what he would wear on date night, or for a nicer dinner; however, I don't think I could ever get him to put on those Cole Haans. I've seen them on guys around Rochester and I think they look so sleek! When helping your man get dressed remember to keep it simple, a nice watch, a pair of dark - clean cut jeans, a simple and trendy watch, and practical and fun shoes are all reall

Beauty Buy: Kevyn Aucoin

I am an extreme control freak when it comes to my eyeliner. Too much is always a bad thing in my book. I just feel gothic, ya know? We brought Kevyn Aucoin into About Face a few weeks ago. I'm obsessed with the rich lip colors  (For Keeps is my color!), the creamy mascara , and the precision liquid eyeliner . If you've had trouble applying liquid liner in a straight line in the past, your dreams have come true. It's so easy to put on, even a newbie could rock a perfect cat eye with this product! I work in an industry with some of the meanest people who have ever walked the face of the earth, who live and die for the surface. But the way I see it, I have a responsibility to do the most I can do, the way I know how. Since I know how to apply makeup, that's what I do and use it as a platform. ---Kevyn Aucoin

Vegas Bound!

My little sister, Emme, called me a few weeks ago and said, "I told dad I needed a vacation, he said we could go to Vegas, and I can bring you!" I haven't been to Vegas for six years,  the last time I went I was a Sophomore at ASU and wasn't event 21 yet! I'm looking forward to spending a long weekend with my sister and dad, reading on my iPad by the pool, winning big at the slots (I'm not a huge gambler - it stresses me out), maybe seeing a show, and eating at some delicious restaurants. We are staying at the Cosmopolitan which I'm super excited about.  For clothing: I plan to live in maxi dresses, cute offs, my Ray-Bans, and my new fringe bikini for the weekend! For dinner I'll pull out a cute cocktail dress!  I think we will steer clear of the whole club scene, that calls for more of a girls trip, but I'd love your recommendations on what you love to do in Vegas! Please leave me note! xo

What I'm Buying: Deepa Gurnani

Every morning when I wake up I know that I will get to look at beautiful things. A blessing and a curse because even with an amazing employee discount they still cost money, funny how that works. I don't talk too much about my job on here, many of you might know it's at a high-end beauty boutique and I do sales and marketing {aka the rainmaker}, but I also do the accessory buying. I absolutely love it. While searching for a line of affordable, but luxe headbands I came upon Deepa Gurnani. I have loved working with this small company and my clients adore the hand beaded headbands. They really make a statement. They can be worn so many ways - hair up, hair down, boho, preppy, but always glam! If you would like to play an order email me at info@aboutfacrochester.com for free shipping and a tax free sale!  xo  m

Home is where my heart is.

Family is everything to me in this world. My mom, my dad, and two sisters make everyday worth living. Which is why I'm so lucky to be marrying into a family that I adore to the moon and back. This weekend I ventured home to Milwaukee to celebrate the bridal shower of Megan one of Adam's cousins, and one of my favorite people in the world. She lives in Frankfurt with her soon to be husband, Alfred. It was so nice to spend time with my parents and sister Emily. We had a particularly wonderful time brunching at Comet Cafe (so yummy if you're in Milwaukee). I haven't laughed that hard in a while. I spent the rest of the day at Meg's Irish bridal shower, complete with green Miller Lite! I gifted her a stunning pair of Roberto Coin earrings, that I'm a bit envious of. They each have a ruby on the back that brings your happiness, success, love, prosperity, and all things good! We headed over to the County Clare the place to be to celebrate St. Patty's Day. I lo

Hello!

Just a few of this moment's muses.XO

minne.snow.ta diversions.

With Minnesota drowning in about a foot of snow, I have a certain obsession with all things Spring. While my feet stay toasty warm in a interlude between my Frye or Hunter boots, my toes are singing for sweeter weather and a punchy pedicure. Those sweet little jelly sandals from Aldo - $25! Oh my my my!
