every time i drink a fountain soda - i get insanely sick. like vom-ing sick. (sorry tmi). i am pretty convinced they are poisoning me. i've been hearing a lot of banter recenty about bacteria that can be nestling in the plastic pipes that the soda or tap beer runs through - so then it it's your drink...gross. and oh look...IT'S TRUE (CBS)   Could you be guzzling down germs? Research from  Hollins University, in Roanoke, Va.,  finds you very well could be, if your drink came from a cafeteria or restaurant soda fountain. Researchers tested 30 soda fountains and analyzed them for microbial contamination. They found many of the beverages from them were contaminated with bacteria. Coliform/fecal bacterium was detected in 48 percent of them. The potentially deadly bacteria E. coli was found in 11 percent of the tested drinks. Dr. Alanna Levine, a primary care physician, said on  "The Early Show,"  contaminated fountain drinks could be a potential health thre

I’m always looking to “Shape Magazine” for new fitness tips and trends – not that you should get trendy with your fitness routine, but it’s always good to mix it up and challenge your muscles. Something has to be said for the 'wackness' that is living as a 20-something. Like drinking a coors light, after an hour of cardio, while eating organic spinach ravioli that cost $9. I'm tall - 5'9" and sometimes heels just get in the way of my nights out. While suede over the knee boots and soft leather riding boots are wardrobe staples this holiday season I plan on jazzing up my skinny jeans with some sparkle in my step.
