I could tell you that my love for gold and cognac was just a phase, y'all it's here to stay. I recently purchased the Tory Burch York Tote in Luggage , with gorgeous gold details. The price point was fantastic and it was just the bad I needed to put all of my work files in. I can carry my portfolio, several client folders, an iPad, my GiGi New York Clutch and my giant pouch of Nars lipstick  - I've been wearing Carthage a lot. It's a beautiful hot pink matte lipstick. The easiest weekend basics come from what I already have in my closet. Since we moved into the new house it's been nonstop between decorating, moving out of the old one and balancing work and weekend commitments, I've been all sorts of crazy. On a typical weekend the above would be my go to look. This weekend it was a denim shirt and soft pants from T.J. Maxx (MSRP $60, got them for $19.99 - woo hoo)! My sister and mom came to visit this weekend and Emme insisted we go to T.J Maxx so she could pick up the same pair (nerd)! You can see the pants on my Instagram -  @McKerihan . A simple white blouse , a statement necklace {this can take the look from day to night}, a pair of ripped jeans { Old Navy's Rock Star's have been amazing for me}, a classic tote , an timeless watch and a pair of sandals that will never go out of style. My classic and preppy roots always take me back to Tory Burch . 

Post wedding blues...equate to online shopping while... waiting at the doctors office. Don't worry my nose just decided to swell shut causing my ears to feel like they were exploding, but isn't this case cute?  I can't wait to share with you details of my big day! Coming soon....

There are many things I'm wrong about. One of the few that I will deem a "do not challenge me on" is how classic a black bootie can be. Certainly there are ways to make this shoe edgy, preppy, sexy or modern; however, it's very hard to wear the look wrong. Above are some of my favorite black booties. Have you ever gone to an ugly sweater party and you were the only loser that didn't dress up? Welcome to my world last year. Adam and I didn't dress up, and as you can imagine we were the ONLY ones! I usually have very little to say about what other people think, but this I was a bit embarrassed, especially since I take pride in my holiday outfits. This year, I planned ahead, and ordered this sweatshirt {about is the t-shirt option} on amazon {etsy} also has similar designs for sale! For $19 I plan on really getting into the Christmas spirit, but making it feel like ME. I plan on making it Molly-Esque with a faux furst vest, an arm full of my favorite bangles {tory burch, stella and dot, and j.crew - via ebay}, a GIANT statement necklace, and hunter boots! Adam won't give me my Christmas present early, but I am so eager to trot about town with my  new {orange} Tory Burch purse! BONUS: Saturday's party is a white elephant party!
