Lately, life has been about the little things. I find myself being content with a good book and glass of wine. I also am extremely homesick for my three best friends - a good thing! Gals like that are hard to find and the definition of "once in a lifetime" friendships. The little things:  Kaela and I share a love of Taylor Swift (call us basic - we still have better style). Only kidding, but when I was in a crunch for some sustenance and Swifty showed up on my Diet Coke I knew KB was the only one who would appreciate it...especially since our texting spree about how great "1989" is the night before. Our front hallway was SO colorful. I wanted neutral and I wanted gold. It looks a bit different as opposed to the pic above, I added two more Kate Spade white vases. To shake things up I added several new pieces: a rug, antler photo, and gold accent "spike thing" for under $50. Happy happy me!  I know I'm vain, but I am als...

Having besties in the beauty industry makes my life a lot easier, and prettier. Katie Kirckof, I'm guessing you know her name from around Rochester, does amazing lashes at Blu h20 Salon. I needed a {major} fill and KMK was able to relash me in 35 minutes! If you have ever laid on a lash table before you know the first session can take over two hours and a fill usually takes an hour. I have short lashes and usually loose a few within days, not the case here! I'm not posting this just because Katie is a dear friend, but because if you live in Rochester and are looking to amplify your eyes, she is the gal to see!  Here are some photos {selfies, I know} unedited and with no filter:

I want bronde hair and I can not lie. I'm currently coveting this look and still trying to find a hair stylist that can get it right. After spending hundreds of dollars on my  color at the salon a few months ago, and leaving disappointed, I'm worried about not loving the results again. I've done ombré to my hair at home several times with great results, but there is something about this buttery brown and golden hair that is having me swooning. If you live in Rochester, MN who do you trust to dye your hair? 

I am an extreme control freak when it comes to my eyeliner. Too much is always a bad thing in my book. I just feel gothic, ya know? We brought Kevyn Aucoin into About Face a few weeks ago. I'm obsessed with the rich lip colors  (For Keeps is my color!), the creamy mascara , and the precision liquid eyeliner . If you've had trouble applying liquid liner in a straight line in the past, your dreams have come true. It's so easy to put on, even a newbie could rock a perfect cat eye with this product! I work in an industry with some of the meanest people who have ever walked the face of the earth, who live and die for the surface. But the way I see it, I have a responsibility to do the most I can do, the way I know how. Since I know how to apply makeup, that's what I do and use it as a platform. ---Kevyn Aucoin

I didn't think my sister, Emme, was being trendy when she insisted that she was obsessed with "baby eles" {we don't call them elephants, but thanks}. In honor of her birthday this month and elephants actually being really wearable, I found her some ele presents. My favorite being the Lilly Pulitzer tank. Laskers blinged us out! Lora and I had so much fun! Style on the Plaza was a huge success last night! I acted as associate stylist under the direction of Nood Reynolds. It was amazing!
