Geri & Dior.

Geri is just so gorge! Check out her amazing  Lip Stick Diaries  on  Refinery 29!  It does not disappoint.

enjoy the ride.

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears. And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears. Get over your hill and see what you find there, With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair. And now I cling to what I knew I saw exactly what was true But oh no more. That's why I hold, That's why I hold with all I have. That's why I hold. I will die alone and be left there. Well I guess I'll just go home, Oh God knows where. Because death is just so full and mine so small. Well I'm scared of what's behind and what's before. - Mumford and Sons "After the Storm"

FREE TANS!!!!

Click on the photo above to great your FREE  sunless tan! This is an insane offer, and Livesunless wants to give away 10,000 FREE  tans before the end of the month! And if you live in my neck of the words make sure you get your tan at  Secret Sun Salon.  If you're in Milwaukee try out  Ultimate Sun. Tip: There is a certain very popular tanning salon in Milwaukee on Oakland avenue - I won't name names, but DO NOT attempt to Mystic Tan there. The booth is extremely outdated, probably by 10+ years, and once it only sprayed half of my body (if you can imagine). Other times I've had to get undressed and redressed several times to let the 'lovely' ladies upfront know that booth wasn't working. They then sent me home pale and would not refund my money, the male manager who finally called me back was even worse. Customer service is everything and Secret Sun and Ultimate Tan will treat you with respect. If you have questions they are 100% knowledgeable. Enjoy guys

White wine = stains

Drinking Pinot Grigio with Kaela and LJ circa the summer of 2008. Yes I had blonde hair and blunt bangs. Oh college. :) Ever since my first sip I've loved wine. I usually have a glass nightly, and much to your concern no I do not have a drinking problem, but it's simply an indulgence as part of my daily routine. I love the taste and there is nothing like sitting down to write or read or watching television with a glass in hand (hey guys it's not tequila)! My wine habits change with the seasons, but I'm partial to Pinot Grigio or in the case that I'm eating goat cheese against my doctors order a light Reisling makes me swoon.  Anyway there is the stigma that red wine stains your teeth. And while it does, did you know that white wine has staining power as well?  A study from NYU found that white wine can cause teeth to become dingy. The acid from the white whine can erode teeth and leave it more vulnerable to dark colored staining.  "The tart tas

Kirbie and Michelle: Beautiful Blogging Buddies!

If I find a great blog I always try and share it with you, ya know? Because I'm sooooo nice. Or maybe I just want you to be as trendy and as well informed as this little lady - and by little I mean 5'9" and leggy. Not to brag or anything, but I have some insanely talented and beautiful friends. First up Michelle. She recently moved in with he swimmingly handsome boyfriend (funny fact: his last name is Twente - and pronounced like the number 20. How amazing? Mrs. Twente table for two? Love you Brett and Michelle!) The two recently took the plunge and moved in together. With views of the beautiful beach in Santa Monica might I add. Michelle being the bright young thing she is started a blog  The Shack Up . She chronicles it all from IKEA to house guests. I'm so proud of her! We would both cry about the dudes that did us wrong in college. One time I though she was going to asphyxiate due to a crying binge while in her bra, I'm convinced I saved her with a bottle o

Monday beauty.

Malin looks to amazing in this tan leather dress. Loving Carolina in these wide leg pants (and the bag that everyone is freaking out over - neon!). The stunning new it-model: Kate King. Yah, she's only 17 - shocking! Some shots I liked via  The Cut.

Weekend Snapshots.

Mahalo.Aloha.

Dad and his girls. We love him more than anything. I am so blessed to have the two coolest, funniest, most down to earth and understanding parents on this plant. Through everything they have never failed me. I am so proud that I call my mom, dad, emily and kate my family. They mean everything to me.  This weekend my family lost an amazing man. My uncle Bill was like no one else. A smile (really a huge ass grin) that was contagious. His smile was so real and every time a big smile was plastered across his tan skin (a perk of living with the love of his life in Hawaii), which was often, he would squint and all the character he encompassed was shared with the whole room. The fun uncle, the goofy uncle, he was always on our team and every time we saw him he let us know how great he thought his family was. One Christmas he sent Jesus candles - funny an inappropriate, but so uncle bill. Our paper crown traditions at Christmas were started by him, as were the party poppers with the tacky t
"As I gazed into your eyes - something inside me forever changed... You laid there by my side and gave me a smile that tore down the  walls surounding my Heart.. I found what I'd been looking for all along.. that magic feeling I could never have before.. I felt you there.. beside me.. taking my hand in yours.. When the tears faded away and I came to my senses -  You gave me a promise I'd been dying to hear since the moment we met.. You Told me that we'll always be together... Time and space ceased to be.. Our threads of fate became one.. All the pain, doubt and fear in the world would not keep us apart.. Not anymore.. If I'd have died right then and there in your arms, it wouldn't matter.. It still would have been the happiest moment of my life.. Death is only death.. and you.. are so much more.. But then something happened.. The dream ended.. I was forced to open my eyes only to realize.. that I had lost you once again.. I had returned back to reality - along

Winter wear in April.

Nothing like a classic wool sweater to get you through those April showers. Which are plentiful in the Mid-west right now. I picked this lovely lady up at Gap.  It was a random online order that was returned to the store, and I snagged the only one much to the annoyance of all the shoppers behind me in line when it rang upi for $4.98 at the register! Score. It probably cost $98 retail. It's so think, but is airy enough (the stitches are big) and perfect with am army jacket, skinny jeans, flats and two twisted J.crew necklaces.  I'm off to Minneapolis with the boyfriend and my parents to see the two little sisters! My parents flew in Kate from Arizona to celebrate Easter with us. Mmmm Loring Pasta Bar in the morning and copious amounts of wine tonight!  Enjoy the holiday weekend. xo

finally!

Finally found cut-out oxfords!!!!

my heart is full.

My heart is so full of love these days. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world, and fall in love with Adam more and more everyday. It's quite silly really. It's quite nice waking up to your best friend in the morning. Never leaving the house without a goodbye kiss. Having someone to make root beer floats with. A boy to eat all my leftovers so I never waste my meals. Being able to laugh hysterically at grotesque jokes. Even though I get so annoyed by his singing. There are some of his constant lyrics: "Molly bolly bo balllllllllliiiiiiiii" "What do you want from me" "I'm gonna ride chhha lika ahhh donkey" And even though he drank the last Rolling Rock in the fridge and stole all of my salsa. I love....him. so much.

prepfection pillow.

This lovely  pillow  was first on  Emphasis Added  and I fell in love. It comes in oh so many divine colors. Oh...and it's $35, so you can justify it! I'm partial to navy blue, but love this one as well. You can't really go wrong with stripes and yellow!

Kale Chips.

So my new obsession, Gwyneth Paltrow, was on Ellen today! She looked gorgeous and was cooking up something called - Kale Chips. What? What? Whhhhhha? Health and delish!? Sign this girl up (Baked Lays are my junk food addiction. So naughty)! I didn't know where to start, but knew that I needed to find out how to make these for myself. Luckily one of my daily style stops over at  Sterling Style  provided me with the recipe from GP's new  book "My Father's Daughter" . I ngredients: 1 bunch of kale 2 tablespoons olive oil salt (and any other seasoning) to sprinkle   Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees 2. Discard kale stems and wash thoroughly   3. Dry kale in a salad spinner or with paper towels 4. Tear kale into 1.5 inch pieces   5. In a large bowl mix dry kale with olive oil and sprinkle salt (just a pink or two- it's easy to over salt them) and mix 6. Spread kale out on two baking sheets   7. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until lightly bro

travel like a star.

Celebrity (life)style is one of the biggest fashion influences out there. We've all heard the tried and true right that celebrities are the biggest catalysts for endorsements on how to lie life right. Whether it be "The Rachel" haircut, or the svelte bodies that were so controversial when paraded around by Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan. We all buy into it and if you're like me you look for ways to emulate their looks. I wanted longer hair = so I got extensions. I've been sick for over a week and was craving a tan like Kelly on the Real Housewives of New York = so I got a Mystic Tan. I want to be thinner = so I work out and eat healthy. And I want to dress like them...which is hard when you're not making ten million a movie and receiving clothes from PR houses. Regardless - no one can make you do something you don't believe in - but there is nothing wrong with wanting to look like a celebrity. If you're traveling this weekend take some tips from  http

Style Crush.

Seeing red.

Now  vs. Then While clicking through  Elle.com  I came across this stunning picture of Drew Barrymore. I'm loving her with red hair. She looks great with ombre hair as well, but that red tone is doing something sensational for her skin! It looks: milky, dewy, young, free and the her best tones are being brought out. It looks like she's even getting away with less makeup (on her face - the eyes are a bit more done). Here's the good news: according to beauty.com almost anyone can go red!  Here's some more info on going red via  New Beauty: "When going red, it's important to consider your eye color and skin tone, which will indicate which shade of red is right for you. Warm reds tend to look best on complexions with golden undertones, while cool reds complement ivory and olive complexions. Natural redheads vary in color ranging from auburns and gingers to deep reds and coppers. In addition to freckles and light eyes, most natural redheads have fair but warm

Your eggs ain't ever looked so fly. Thought this was super creative via  Vogue.  To think that an egg has a cooler leather jacket than I do. Yes, I'm jealous of an egg!

work it out.

I try to workout daily and usually it's just part of my normal routine. Though on my yoga pants, running shoes and a t-shirt and boyfriend and I head to the gym to sweat it out. I don't look pretty; in fact, I'm usually extremely sweater. Like boy sweaty. The lovely  Jaclyn Day  got me thinking about my workout wear. I hate spending money on clothes that I'm going to wear to the gym. I'd rather put that money towards clothes that make me feel beautiful and confident - rather than clothes I know I look disgusting in. My newest addition to my workout regime (see above) are these fabulous Nike Pro Fit workout pants. They run about $35, fit perfect and are very breathable (something you need if you do the elliptical like me and then pound out 10 miles on the bike. Warning: they are a bit sheer. The material is super light, so make sure you aren't showing your lady parts by layering a extra long tank. Check out  Zappos  for product details and reviews.

Shop Nasty Gal Picks

I haven't shared my favorites from  Shop Nasty Gal . I thought I'd show you what I'm currently loving! Nude shoes, pinks and blues stole my heart!

AP.Inslee.

Inslee  is one of my favorite artists. She has beautiful stationary and lustworthy talents. I was in the process of licensing one of her sketches for the McKerihan Media logo, but thought I better hold off and wait for some lucrative clients.  Atlantic-Pacific  is probably my favorite style blog right now. Preppy - with overzealous glamour - just right. I love Inslee's interpretations. So stunning.  Inslee's Blog  can be found here - it's super charming. Perfect for eliciting a few smiles. Enjoy!
