laughing lately.

I came home today and lunch and Adam was making a spreadsheet, on Excel, of dogs. The pros and cons of each breed. I then came home after work and saw that one of our front windows had blown off, shattered, and a lovely black paper bag was acting a shield. I witnessed a light pole (around 30 ft. +) blow over into oncoming traffic outside of my office. I hate wind. I realized my full on hatred for acrylic nails and adult women that wear their hair in pigtails. Adam found the puppy of my dreams. An Aussiedoodle; however, we aren't getting a puppy until there is a ring on my finger and a house with mortgage payments. (He just informed me they come in miniature sizes, but said I can't get one).  Adam is being bossy about dogs. Even though he is lazy and I will end up doing everything. He will just love them and fatten them up. I tried going on a walk. I walked for 20 minutes and realized how bored I was with myself, alone in nature, even though Adele was playing. I a

Smitten with Dani Notes.

dani notes stationery daninotes.com My person initials: Molly McKerihan Dixon I could not be more excited for my new iPhone case. I can picture myself walking down the bustling streets of Rochester, pulling it out on sidewalk cafes and be stopped  mid-sentence  while browsing my favorite boutiques - because this iPhone case is quite the conversation starter. It's preppy, regal, modern, elegant and just the kind of thing I'd always wished existed. Thankfully to the beautiful Dani of  daninotes.com   this stunning, personalized case can be yours for $55. If you're smart you'll put in your order at the Dani Notes  shop  ASAP. Down the road, when Adam and I head to the chapel, I want my 'china' to be  Dani Note's Plates . Everything is so cheerful, bright and just makes me want to sip lemonade and hum Glee songs - I'm that in love. OR if you have a baby on the way (or a friend, or relative) there are perfect gifts and announcements cards - even the mo

happy appy tuesday. :)

My new wedge obsession:

PALOMA BARCELÓ Velati leather wedge sandals $315 PALOMA BARCELÓ Amalaga mesh and leather espadrille wedges $310 PALOMA BARCELÓ Agamar embellished suede wedge sandals $330 Found these amazing wedges on  http://www.net-a-porter.com . It just so happened that all the wedges I gravitated towards were by Paloma Barcelo. I've never heard of the brand before, but I love these shoes. Simple but with enough detail to make them stand out from the girl next to you in her Steve Maddens (not that there is anything wrong with SM). I'm obsessed with the red leather pair and oooooh that luxe tan ankle strap, throw on a LWD and HELLLOOOOOO SUMMMERRR!

Women courtesy of Barby.

According to Playboy, more of us talk dirty during sex than men. After taking a bath, a we grabs a towel and makes a turban on her head from it, at least for one minute. The reasons of such a weird oriental ritual are unknown. We can have partners that are years younger without being called dirty old perverts. (Cough) When we answers, "I’m fine" after a few seconds,  we are not fine. You f**ed up...again! The average number of items in a typical woman's bathroom is 437. A man would not be able to identify most of these items. We never have anything to wear. Don't question the racks of clothes in the closet; you "just don't understand". We need to feel like there are people worse off than we are. That's why soap operas and Oprah Winfrey-type shows are so successful. We never shudder when a male character gets kicked in the groin in a movie.  We like looking at men, just as much as men like looking at women. We just know how to

Chanel & Gucci Sunglasses for sale.

Two pairs of Chanel and one pair of Gucci sunglasses for sale. Hi guys I'm trying to get rid of three pairs of sunglasses that I've had lying around FOREVER. I'm selling them (via Craigslist - trashy I know) for $300 for the bundle or $150 separately. If you are interested and would like me to send you pictures of the actual product please e-mail me! They have all been worn, but are in almost perfect condition. The only wear is on the lenses and that can be buffed out. I would love for someone to wear these fabulous shades in style. :)

Bee.

Love this look on Bee. So preppy perfect.

Summer. Work it.

hi huuuuur

via A little fashion moment. I adore this look. I also adore my new job which is keeping my busy, but so inspired. I'm doing what I love which is Social Media and Marketing. It's a networking dream come true. I love the people I work with, what the company I work with stands for and the job I'm doing. I'm under pressure to make things happen and I can't wait until they do. Think: spur of the moment event planning, Social Media initiative and everything in between. This blog has been a labor of love and I want nothing more than to keep you engaged and coming back, but I ask for your patience. Just until I can find my footing. I'm guessing I'm going to have to schedule posting (which I hate) to give you the content you deserve. Stay beautiful.

Tom Binn's DIY

Amazing via  Dream and Dress  a  Tom Binn's  DIY. Getting on this right away! The necklace above is from Forever 21, but I think Claire's would probably have a great selection in their princessy section!

Glitter Guide. Part Deux.

Know you can.

I start my new job tomorrow and I'm very excited. I thought I'd share this lovely excerpt via  Julia Allison of Nonsociety.  It's from  Think and Grow Rich   by Napoleon Hill.  Know who you are. Know what you're good at. Know you know what you're good at and good things will come. That's my Sunday night insight as I watch the #BillboardMusicAwards.  xo

i'm going to need these.

Ughhh. Gimme.

Giraffe me your glasses.

T Magazine  showing off Prada's new eye wear collection. "While Prada’s spring runway was full of chic bananas and this season’s most-coveted footwear — the striped platform brogue — its neo-rococo sunglasses also caught the eye of fashion peepers. Bold and sculptural, the limited edition spectacles are being celebrated tonight at Prada’s 57th street store with a launch party and art exhibit ‘’From Drawings to Pictures.” Eight artists were commissioned to integrate the shades into into their work, and the results range from   Mattia Buffoli ’s quirky photo showing the sunglasses as the eyes in a “face” of a plate of appetizers to Frederica di Giovanni’s photo of a butterfly net with captured prey. Two new frames join the existing collection available in blue, black, white and tortoise, $290 to $390 a pair. Despite the rain, we have a feeling that come summer everyone will be seeing 20/20."

Day vs Night.

One dress: Two ways. Both simple. I love the dress. An oxford could even be thrown over it and belted to create an adorable skirt. This Pleasure Doing Business piece also comes in a skirt version and looks supreme with a simple t-shirt. Whatever tickles your fancy.

Fall in to the Gap.

I knew there had to be something brewing at the Gap. Everything always on sale, their silk pieces never selling. Some of the items cute, some just unworkable - say those ballet flats in the bag. I bought a pair and instantly regretted wearing them to work the next day. No structure, no style, and maybe the color was a little weird (lilac patent leather). Was it too over priced? Were the pieces unflattering and unwearable? Their Jeans, the only seemingly divine staple in the whole store, is their one redeeming quality. And that's what Gap was intended to be - an American frontier  for good ol' Made in the USA jeans. I think they could catch on to something here with kickass jeans, jean jackets, jean shirts, shorts - the epitome of a well dressed woman or man. It's all in the details and frankly we all know Gap has become sloppy. With J.Crew taking over their territory and Old Navy having such great brand awareness (you know those commercials are catchy: Barbe-cutie...) it wa

Fresh Stripes.

Love this look on  Katrina Szish . A Milly dress and Judith Leiber bag. I'm in love with stripes right now, and I love this fresh take on the look. Below you'll find some other standout striped numbers, in the center is K's dress, along with some other (noteably: expensive) dresses that I adore!

Wedding Bells!

I'm speaking at one of my dearest friend's wedding. I'm nervous and looking for the most perfect and witty prose to encapsulate their "love at first sight" relationship. I was there the day they met, the second they met actually, sitting on a lawn chair next to Cori at out apartment complex pool. MJ walked up with a rambunctious set of tattooed friends. I grew up in the Mid-west, my first instinct was to ask, "Did that hurt?", I later learned MJ hates this question. Duh, of course it hurt. I don't remember how one day at the pool turned into a lifetime, but I'm so glad it did. He's so good to her, he loves her so much, and I've never seen my beautiful friend so happy. A love like this is extraordinarily, and I have romance on my brain. I've logged many an hour looking for the perfect thing to say, if you have any suggestions I would love an e-mail. Oh and they are super good looking... This is one of the favorite quotes from the

Budget Babe. Dream vs. Do.able.

I saw this picture of Olivia Palermo and knew I needed to re create the look!  Karol.Fashion.Girl  on Polyvore did her own fabulous interpretation (above). Below is mine - a very budget friendly version.
