#adamlovesmolly: wedding day hair!

Another wedding update! I absolutely loved my wedding day hair. It was chic, simple and held up all night, through drinks and lots of dancing. Gina Barrington  Gina Barrington , of Wide Eyed Beauty , made all of the girls look amazing. She took in our Pinterest pictures and explanations of what we wanted and delivered above and beyond. I always wear my hair down, so I was incredibly nervous about wearing it up, but it looked flawless! Here are Gina's bridal hot to do's for brides: Do something slightly whimsical and undone- super polished hair is so dated. Slightly messy side buns, or tousled waves are just perfection for wedding days.  On hand products of mine: always a great dry texturizing spray (oribe, or Oscar blandi) dry shampoo - matte and colorless of course beach salt spray   a great hairspray- I like Bumble & Bumbles classic, Elnett, or Sebastian classic a plumping spray or mousse for crown volume especially fo...

mGa: Getting Beautiful

We did it! 5.10.2014 came and went. It was the most magical, perfect, beautiful day of my life. I've been getting a lot of questions about what my day was like, who my vendors were and what were my favorite parts of the day. I don't want to overload you with details, so once a week {or let's be honest, when life allows - we close on the house we built next week!} I'll be posting about our wedding!  First up: Getting Beautiful. Maggie Kerr of  Wide Eyed Beauty I knew that hair and makeup were going to be a huge part of my big day. I needed to feel beautiful and confident. I wanted to look like me, just a better version. I partnered with Gina and Maggie of  Wide Eyed Beauty , they are both Ford makeup artists,to make my hair and makeup dreams come true. They 500% exceeded my expectations.   Maggie Kerr , kindly gave me a list of her must-haves for my bridal look! -Laura Mercier Primer -Cle de Peau Concealer -NARS Pressed Powder...

wedding wonders: beauty edition

It's getting closer and more real by the day. I believe we are going on 271 days. To the average person 271 is nearly a year, to a bride it's time to get  **** done. My wedding dress finally came in and I love it even more than I did when I first picked it out. I've been working my tush off: yoga, Pilates, and barre classes since the end of June {drum roll} I lost over 3.5 inches in my waist. I loved the way I looked in my dress and I think it will just get better and better as I workout and live the healthy lifestyle I've committed myself to {not giving up the wine}. Some of the most important pieces of our wedding have fallen into place: we have an amazing DJ - I want my friends to remember this epic dance party for the rest of their lives, I hired The Eventful Life for decor and coordination, I went to highs school with Jess and I know their vision will be beautiful. I'm so excited for our fantastic photographer, and I can't wait to work with The Beauty D...

Wedding Day Beauty: Milwaukee The Beauty Dept.

As many of you know I'm getting married next May. I'm in the process of finalizing the details, one of them is making sure I have the best of the best when it comes to my hair and makeup. I'll be the first to say it, "My name is Molly and I'm vain." If you've been a bride or are a bride-to-be I'm guessing you feel the same way I do. I want to look like the very best version of myself on my wedding day: highlighted cheekbones, flowing hair {good enough to be on a Victoria's Secret model}, and perfect skin. Enter: The Beauty Department. Gina Barrington and Maggie Kerr are certifiably the best around - they are based out of Milwaukee, but regardless of where you live - their work is a must-see. I knew that I had to work with them on my wedding day. I have previously worked with Gina on a Made In Milwaukee fashion show {it was a month after Adam and I started dating and I was smitten with him} and her eye for aesthetics is impeccable....
