#adamlovesmolly: decor in the tent.

It's a definite #tbt that is for sure! I promised showing decor from my wedding a while ago, and well here you are my dears! My vision for out day was a garden party of sorts. I wanted classic elements, mixed with pieces that were unique and added a touch of modern - like out chevron placemats, chalkboard doors and chalkboard printable table numbers.  TIP: If you're looking to save big bucks on table numbers, Etsy is the answer. I was going to spend over $300 on gold glitter table numbers; however, I was able to find printables that were about $5 for 20 numbers! They worked perfectly into our decor.  My vision was completely brought to fruition by T he Eventful Life . Jess and Steph were amazing to work with. I didn't have to worry about a single thing, the two of them were on point before, during and even AFTER the wedding! We had the best experience working with them.  EXPERIENCE: I wanted to put most of my budget into...

adamlovesmolly: 10

A little throw back Thursday to our wedding. I seriously can not believe that it's been almost two months. It feels like just yesterday I was holding my breath, holding my dad's hand and walking down the aisle to marry a man I love more than any words could even describe.  I posted this story on my Instagram, but wanted to share it on my blog.  My grandpa Malcolm, before he passed away, gave this Rolex to my dad. That was over 30 years ago. It was a gift for doing the accounting for his jewelry store Schwanke-Kasten.  My dad had not worn the watch in several years and decided to wear it on my wedding day.  A Rolex is self winding, this means it only moves with the natural motion of your wrist. If you were to stop wearing it, the watch would stop ticking, but when you put it on again it would resume movement. Having not worn the watch in years, it had not been moving.  When my dad put it on that morning, on the 10th of May, the date was alread...

adamlovesmolly: in black + white

I have not shared many wedding photos on the blog. I just put some up on Facebook last week. They feel sacred and special. I still look at them everyday in awe that it really happened. I've decided to share photos of my people: my family and my best friends. The people that have supported us, loved us, encouraged us and made our wedding day the most perfect day I've ever witnessed. Our amazing photographers Kim and Kari took over 1,000 photos. I have so many favorites, but there is something just so magical about black and white photos. They look timeless and elegant and just make me swoon.  I'll make sure to show our decor soon. It was so beautiful and the peonies....le sigh! Enjoy!  with my sisters + bests before walking down the aisle.  right after our first look.  h.k.k.m.e.k.l i am so blessed with the most beautiful younger sisters.  readying.  good looking group.  smiles all around....

#adamlovesmolly: wedding day hair!

Another wedding update! I absolutely loved my wedding day hair. It was chic, simple and held up all night, through drinks and lots of dancing. Gina Barrington  Gina Barrington , of Wide Eyed Beauty , made all of the girls look amazing. She took in our Pinterest pictures and explanations of what we wanted and delivered above and beyond. I always wear my hair down, so I was incredibly nervous about wearing it up, but it looked flawless! Here are Gina's bridal hot to do's for brides: Do something slightly whimsical and undone- super polished hair is so dated. Slightly messy side buns, or tousled waves are just perfection for wedding days.  On hand products of mine: always a great dry texturizing spray (oribe, or Oscar blandi) dry shampoo - matte and colorless of course beach salt spray   a great hairspray- I like Bumble & Bumbles classic, Elnett, or Sebastian classic a plumping spray or mousse for crown volume especially fo...

Now that it's over!

Post wedding blues...equate to online shopping while... waiting at the doctors office. Don't worry my nose just decided to swell shut causing my ears to feel like they were exploding, but isn't this case cute?  I can't wait to share with you details of my big day! Coming soon....

Molly Wears: Vegas Edition #adamlovesmolly

The countdown to Vegas is nearing! The sunshine hitting my face on April 4th can't come soon enough. It's a weekend I'm so looking forward to. Instead of all the bachelorette hoopla I wanted to keep my party simple and decided to just make it the bride + bridal party. I let my MOH's pick the destination, it was between Scottsdale and Vegas, and Vegas won. We all know how important Instragram photos are, so I'm starting my planning a bit early on what to pack in my suitcase. Let's hope this time it doesn't take a detour to Alaska. You better believe I'm bringing makeup, a swimsuit, and change of clothes in my carryon. I'm also super excited there is a Rent the Runway at the hotel we are staying at, The Cosmopolitan. So, if I don't like what I've packed I don't have to run and buy a $600 dress, I can just rent it for the night hassle free! With there being so many things to do: pool, drink, eat, shop, go out I'm a little overwhelmed w...

Adam Loves Molly: Engagement Photos

Well, it was unexpected but the fiance had the BEST time having our engagement photos taken. It was a day I really worked myself up about. The hair, the makeup, the outfits, looking 'fat'; however, it ended up being a perfectly rainy day, with our perfectly adorable photographer. Kim, of Kim Thiel Photography , made us feel so at ease - admittedly we did need to have a cocktail or two to loosen up. I love how our photos turned out. In fact, I'm obsessed. I think they capture Adam and I perfectly and I'm happy with how we looked and LOVE how happy I feel when I look at these photos and think about that day...and all the days we have together! We're getting into crunch time - ahhh! Less thank 6 months. I had our Save the Dates designed tonight and even bought us a wedding domain name - adamlovesmolly.com (serious as a heart attack). I hope you enjoy our photos! Our hometown, Milwaukee, served as a beautiful backdrop! Thank you again Kim - I can't wait for y...

Wedding Day Beauty: Milwaukee The Beauty Dept.

As many of you know I'm getting married next May. I'm in the process of finalizing the details, one of them is making sure I have the best of the best when it comes to my hair and makeup. I'll be the first to say it, "My name is Molly and I'm vain." If you've been a bride or are a bride-to-be I'm guessing you feel the same way I do. I want to look like the very best version of myself on my wedding day: highlighted cheekbones, flowing hair {good enough to be on a Victoria's Secret model}, and perfect skin. Enter: The Beauty Department. Gina Barrington and Maggie Kerr are certifiably the best around - they are based out of Milwaukee, but regardless of where you live - their work is a must-see. I knew that I had to work with them on my wedding day. I have previously worked with Gina on a Made In Milwaukee fashion show {it was a month after Adam and I started dating and I was smitten with him} and her eye for aesthetics is impeccable....

Weekend: Wedding Edition

Dress {j.crew} Necklaces {j.crew} Wedges {Banana Republic}  A's tie is Ted Baker, his shirt is from Trunk Club, and his shoes at Allen Edmonds. Steph looked SO beautiful!  Gossip Girl 2.0? {finally!} Gave the girls their "help me tie the knot" gifts! Still have 3 more to track down! I got to spend this weekend with some of my favorite people in the world. My family and my two best friends - LJ and Kaela. We were all back in Milwaukee celebrating the wedding of one of our oldest friends Steph! It was a beautiful night: peonies, champagne, dancing, and a room full of so much love. When we're all together we get a little camera happy {see the senior pictures pose}, but no one else can compare to the fun I have with my lady loves. I am SO emotional at weddings. I keep thinking about the day Adam and I walk down the aisle next year. My dad giving a speech, two families becoming one {I'm so excited}, the rehearsal dinner, the...
