Admit it. You've felt like this before. You're not skinny enough - he will find someone more beautiful - someone that makes him laugh harder - his ex will come sweep him off his feet. Then you slap yourself - and realize you're the one he's with. He's living with you, kissing you goodnight, sharing his deepest secrets and fears, snuggling you in the morning when he knows you're cold. He also makes you more mad than anyone ever has, annoys the crap out of you when he throws the remote because his team is losing or refuses to throw away empty bottles of water and ketchup packets. I get jealous, I question my self worth and wonder if I'm 'good' enough to love. Do I deserve him? Does he deserve me? Then I slap myself.
We have the same hopes, dreams, values and morals. The same wishes and goals for our future - TOGETHER. It's not a leap of faith anymore - it's our fate.
Those beer glazed kisses on a Friday night that will never get old. The constant nagging that my hair is all over the bathroom floor (when I'm the one that cleans it). The smell of familiarity. The ability to keep me on my toes. That you get worried when I'm not talkative - and I've come to appreciate your silence. Grocery shopping and me giving you hell over your unhealthy choices. Our grandparents loving us together - our parents loving us together. Getting over life's little hiccups together.
So. Yes. Sometimes I get insecure and need to be reassured that I'm the most beautiful girl in the world - to you - but it just means I love you more than you'll ever know - and I know it's mutual.
