fall fashion: style on the plaza




Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, especially for fashion's sake. Riding boots, ballet flats, faux fur, and new trends. I'm currently obsessing over Royal blue. I also happened to pull a fantastic blue blazer for the annual Style on the Plaza fashion show that is tomorrow, on the Peach Plaza in downtown Rochester. I work directly with the fashion show director Nood and help her style the models and do the last look before they hit the runway. It's one of the best events in Rochester all year, and really showcases how fantastic our downtown merchants are. You might notice a handsome face on the runway and in the look book!


Yesterday I had a day full of meetings. I don't think my brain turned off work mode until about 7:00 last night. However, the peek you get of my new royal blue blazer {above - shameless selfie} totally made up for an insanely busy day. I think life is more fun when one is dressed colorfully, no?

If you follow me on Instagram  you've seen these flats pop up numerous times. I own them in nude and red, and to be 100% transparent just purchased a replacement nude pair. While they aren't the gorgeous $900 Valentino Rockstud Cage Flats , I could care less, I bought them because I LOVE the style. I wish I could make myself spend $900 on shoes; however, at this point traveling, decorating my new home and investing in my future are more important. I can't have it all!
