{closet curated} fall favorites

It's that time of year - FALL SHOPPING - has started. This year I'm trying to keep my wardrobe refined and simple. I also want to add special pieces that can be paired classically or with a bit of edge.

What I'm loving now:
  • Leather Leggings or Coated Jeans: They add edge, but can be paired with girly elements to give a chic and sophisticated look. Think: Miranda Kerr.
  • A Silk Moto Jacket: a masculine shape in the most sweet fabric.
  • A Polka Dot Blouse: it can be paired with anything!
  • A shirt dress: heels and tights for work, riding boots and leggings for running around town.
  • A fun t-shirt for the weekends {p.s. how chic?}
  • Tory Burch Riding Boots: Just classic.
  • Cap Toe Heels: the definition of work place princess
  • Stand out jewelry in classic-with-a-twist shape
  • My Prada Tote!
Also loving:
  • Polka Dot Denim
  • Classic Stripes
  • Hunter Green
  • Rich Chocolate Browns
  • Hot Pink Lip Stick
  • Comfy Sweater Dresses
  • Printed Scarfs

Florsheim Shoes {closed}

Thank you to all that entered and congrats to EMMA for winning!  xo You know when you first meet a handsome boy, in my case it was a bar, and everything about him is near perfect. His chiseled features, dark shiny hair, and stunning light blue eyes. Then you look down, and gasp, he's wearing sneakers. Not your run of the mill, fashion forward footwear, but we are talking Nike, Adidas, etc. running shoes. He's wearing them in a bar, with jeans, and a polo. If you're anything like me, the only times tennis shoes are acceptable are on the elliptical machine or running a half marathon. This boy turned out to be the love of my life, and with little resistance I was able to turn him into my fashionable sidekick. With a little help from  Florsheim  you can take your Valentine from sorry to sexy with a pair of shoes courtesy of this luxury brand. I've put together some inspirational looks for you. Just remember, you may not able to c...

Zo chic.

caged in.

If you follow me on Instagram  you've seen these flats pop up numerous times. I own them in nude and red, and to be 100% transparent just purchased a replacement nude pair. While they aren't the gorgeous $900 Valentino Rockstud Cage Flats , I could care less, I bought them because I LOVE the style. I wish I could make myself spend $900 on shoes; however, at this point traveling, decorating my new home and investing in my future are more important. I can't have it all! Those of you with Rockstuds : Yes, I'm jealous. If you'd like the link to these shoes, they are so comfy, follow me on Instagram and send me a direct message -  @McKerihan . Please note: I know there are many that have very strong opinions about knockoffs. These shoes do not bare the Valentino tag, nor do they replicate the exact design. They are simply 'inspired by'. If you're wearing anything from Forever 21, Old Navy, Gap, even lower priced brands from Nordstrom chances are your...
