My love affair with: RTR

Jacquard Pleated Bodice DressLace and Love Dress

Jungle Dream Clutch
My friend from college, Lindsey, is getting married in Chicago this Labor Day weekend. I hate shopping for cocktail dresses - not to mention the pieces I like usually cost upwards of $300. If I bought all my wedding looks via retail I'd be out a over $1,500 this summer - JUST on dresses. Now, I would rather spend this money on dinners, everyday clothes and well just living life. Rent the Runway has become my new fairy godmother. I order the dresses in my size (and get a FREE backup just in case they are too big/small). If I order two dresses - the second one if $25! They best part is, if it doesn't fit, I get all FULL refund. My mom who is usually super crazy about ordering stuff online, agrees with me that, Rent the Runway, is probably one of the greatest inventions ever.

The Shoshanna dresses above retail for $350 and $435 and the Diane von Furstenberg clutch costs  a pretty penny at $350. Now to rent this look it cost me $150 (including shipping (deliver and return) and tax). If you're more into owning they have a clearance section where these gently used dresses can be yours. Think $1,500 dresses for $225 - win!

Florsheim Shoes {closed}

Thank you to all that entered and congrats to EMMA for winning!  xo You know when you first meet a handsome boy, in my case it was a bar, and everything about him is near perfect. His chiseled features, dark shiny hair, and stunning light blue eyes. Then you look down, and gasp, he's wearing sneakers. Not your run of the mill, fashion forward footwear, but we are talking Nike, Adidas, etc. running shoes. He's wearing them in a bar, with jeans, and a polo. If you're anything like me, the only times tennis shoes are acceptable are on the elliptical machine or running a half marathon. This boy turned out to be the love of my life, and with little resistance I was able to turn him into my fashionable sidekick. With a little help from  Florsheim  you can take your Valentine from sorry to sexy with a pair of shoes courtesy of this luxury brand. I've put together some inspirational looks for you. Just remember, you may not able to c...

Zo chic.

caged in.

If you follow me on Instagram  you've seen these flats pop up numerous times. I own them in nude and red, and to be 100% transparent just purchased a replacement nude pair. While they aren't the gorgeous $900 Valentino Rockstud Cage Flats , I could care less, I bought them because I LOVE the style. I wish I could make myself spend $900 on shoes; however, at this point traveling, decorating my new home and investing in my future are more important. I can't have it all! Those of you with Rockstuds : Yes, I'm jealous. If you'd like the link to these shoes, they are so comfy, follow me on Instagram and send me a direct message -  @McKerihan . Please note: I know there are many that have very strong opinions about knockoffs. These shoes do not bare the Valentino tag, nor do they replicate the exact design. They are simply 'inspired by'. If you're wearing anything from Forever 21, Old Navy, Gap, even lower priced brands from Nordstrom chances are your...
