We Survived. The #FFD 2011.

Yes. I was the only girl in the league. Jill ( in the Bears hat) is standing in for David. Don't worry I drafted: Tom Brady (my first pick), Mark Sanchez and the Green Bay Packer's defense. I'm all about looks.

I do also have a tumblr. http://mollydixon.tumblr.com/ You'll find more photos, inspiration and quotes from my favorite online sources. Let's face it: Tumblr makes it easier for me to do this. It takes the effort out of the broadcast.

Chrome Spinning.

I want to roll out of bed looking like this. Being six feet tall with zero body fat might help (on the list of things to do). Snarkiness aside Rachel Zoe's collection is stunning. Available at  shopbop. via

3 week window shop.

If you follow me on Twitter ( @McKerihan  - it's my middle name, I know some of you were wondering) or are friendly with me on  Facebook  then you know I have three weeks off between the big job switch. I've organized my closet, done all my laundry, and been to the dentist - it's Wednesday. I've also been doing some research for the blog, otherwise known as, window shopping for myself (which occasionally leads to an impulse purchase).  This week Gilt opened up a Facebook app which is amazing! Caroline, of Sweet Caroline in the City , picked her favorites and now I'm obsessed with her brilliant  blog  (a perfect mix of high and low style paired in a wearable and chic way) and this necklace . Thoughts? Is it a must-have? It's $64 - which is perfectly justified (cheap in fact).

My love affair with: RTR

My friend from college, Lindsey, is getting married in Chicago this Labor Day weekend. I hate shopping for cocktail dresses - not to mention the pieces I like usually cost upwards of $300. If I bought all my wedding looks via retail I'd be out a over $1,500 this summer - JUST on dresses. Now, I would rather spend this money on dinners, everyday clothes and well just living life.  Rent the Runway  has become my new fairy godmother. I order the dresses in my size (and get a FREE backup just in case they are too big/small). If I order two dresses - the second one if $25! They best part is, if it doesn't fit, I get all FULL refund. My mom who is usually super crazy about ordering stuff online, agrees with me that,  Rent the Runway , is probably one of the greatest inventions ever.  The Shoshanna dresses above retail for $350 and $435 and the Diane von Furstenberg clutch costs  a pretty penny at $350. Now to rent this look it cost me $150 (including sh...

How I'd wear it: The shirt dress

This  shirt dress  is a great investment piece for fall. It can be layered over tights and paired with killers boots, my current favorite Sam Edelman's - Loni boot . Through on a surplus vest or jacket and add a bold silver necklace - I choose this $45 beauty from Banana Republic . Or on a warm fall day paired with tan accessories and gold tone jewelry for a minimalistic look. I'm especially crushing over the Kate Spade necklace (top right) a perfect piece for any jewelry lover. While the  Black Hills  bangle is a splurge - you can wear it everyday. At $119 the  Hive & Honey  wedge booties are a solid purchase - stylish and comfy. Naturally any out is made better by a  PS1 !

#RochMN

I am so excited for Rochester, MN's  STYLE week. Specifically the fashion show on Thursday, September 15th! http://styleontheplaza.tumblr.com/ The list of stores participating is to die for.

We want it now: FALL!

The main characters name is Sutton - I think our first born (in 5-7 years) just got his/her name!

H & M

Stopped in H&M today. And picked up a giant stack of fall sweaters. Can't wait for the Fall/Winter 2011 Collection to hit stores. I picked up the tan dress and black and white sweater (it was $9.95 and reads as much more luxe). I don't plan on styling the dress with a turtleneck. I like the idea of wearing black tights and over the knee riding boots - possibly my blue leopard scarf. Though these are styled as really mod (I love that orange dress) the possibilities are endless. One the hanger they look like great basics with vast style potential (the best part - the price).  Here is what is in store for winter:

One of the reasons I can wait for fall is to break out my boot collection. My list is endless. Different shades of brown and black. Over the knee, flat, heeled, moccasins, moto, riding, suede, leather, lace up. My list goes on. I must have 30 pairs. This season I'm obsessing over Tory Burch and her endless options.
